- High grades at GCSE including Grade 7+ in GCSE Science and GCSE Mathematics
- A willingness to think around problems
- Have an interest in all science subjects and enjoy the challenge of using scientific knowledge in new situations
FUTURE PROGRESSION
- Students with A Level Biology have an extremely valuable qualification that combines well with Chemistry, Physics and Maths as an excellent basis for any scientific discipline
- The skills developed from studying A Level Biology can lead to careers in: Medicine and Nursing, Sports Studies, Marine Biology, Psychology and Physiotherapy

Communications, Homeostasis and Energy
Excretion, neuronal and hormonal communication, plant and animal responses, Photosynthesis and Respiration.
Genetics, Evolution and Ecosystems
Cellular control, patterns of inheritance, Manipulating genomes, Cloning and Biotechnology, Ecosystems and Population sustainability.
