ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- At least 5 GCSEs at Grade 4+
- Grade 5+ in GCSE Science and GCSE Mathematics
- A willingness to be involved in practical lessons and problem- solving activities
- A keen interest in and engagement with Science practical work
FUTURE PROGRESSION
- A valuable qualification that combines scientific thinking with forward planning and practical organisation
- The Applied Science course combines well with PE, Criminology, Health and Social, BTEC Business and IT
- This is an extremely useful subject for many careers and apprenticeships in: Sports Science, Nursing, Physiotherapy and Engineering
WHAT WILL YOU STUDY?
Applied Science brings together knowledge and practical/technical skills.
The course is assessed through a combination of internally assessed tasks, practical units and external examinations.
