By studying a Level 3 Qualification in Sports Leadership, students have the chance to use sport and physical activity as a way of developing the essential leadership skills required to plan, develop and deliver sporting activities to local communities. Students experience a combination of theory and practical experiences, alongside multiple opportunities to put into practice the leadership skills they develop as part of the programme. Alongside helping to organise and lead primary school and community sports events, students also develop valuable practical experience in PE lessons. Students are allocated to specific Key Stage 3 classes to work with subject specialists and receive ongoing support and mentoring from qualified PE teachers. The qualification achieved provides an excellent foundation to progress into sports leadership roles and university degrees.
