Last week, our Year 12 A-Level PE students from St John’s Catholic School, Bishop Auckland Sixth Form took part in an exciting trip to DHM Padel, designed to consolidate their classroom learning in a practical setting.

The session focused on key topics from the A-Level PE curriculum, including:

  • Theories of Learning
  • Guidance
  • Feedback

Students were able to apply these concepts in real-world scenarios while engaging in padel activities, deepening their understanding of how theory translates into practice. This hands-on experience not only reinforced their knowledge but also highlighted the importance of effective communication and feedback in sports performance.

Trips like this provide invaluable opportunities for our students to connect academic learning with practical application, preparing them for success in both exams and future careers in sport and physical education.
